Michael Kors The Man - More Than Just Handbags
Michael Kors was born with the name Karl Anderson Jr. He was born in Merrick New York which is located right on long island. The first woman behind the man, his mother, Joan Hamburger Anderson Kors Krystosek was a popular model. She was also Jewish which is the religion that Michael was raised.
At 19 years old he began his fashion life. That is when he started designing clothes. When he got a little older he attended the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) in New York City. He did very well in his classes and was soon able to launch his own self named line of clothes for women. His collection was featured very big deal stores like Saks Fifth Avenue, Bloomingdale’s, Neiman Marcus and Lord and Taylor just to name a few. He moved on and was soon hired by the French fashion house Celine in 1997.
Michael Kors was a massive success there and became very popular in the fashion world. He was the designer of the women’s ready to wear and creative director until 2003. He left Celine to work more on his own brand and launch a menswear collection.
The designer Kors then branched out into accessories including Michael Kors Handbags, sunglasses and shoes. He never strayed from his American chic styling. Some of his most notable collections include the Michael Kors Totes, Michael Kors satchel and the designer Kors clutches and small bags.
Michael Kors Handbags - Different Styles
One of the different designs the clutch. This is a small bag usually held in the hand that is usually used at formal events. These tend to be quite small and usually do not have handles or straps. They fold over or can have a magnetic snap or clasp on them. Another popular style is the Satchel. These bags are much larger and designed to many hold more items. They traditionally have two handles and can be held by hand, arm or over the shoulder.
This brings us to the shoulder bag. The Shoulder bag which is designed to be carried over the shoulder. These bags are often very large and have various accents on them like braided straps or MK emblems. One other very popular style is the Tote bag. This bag is designed to carry many personal belongings including a laptop, your phone and even a few files from work. The straps are often long enough to be carried by hand or even slung over the shoulder.
Michael Kors Handbags - What is this all about?
One major word of warning to get out of the way is about the very large market for fake and imposed bags. They are sold everywhere including on the streets and online. The knock off Michael Kors Handbags are everywhere so it is something you should be aware of when you are looking to buy a authentic bag.
One of the first give always of a fake bag is the spelling of the designers name. Some of the misspellings we have seen for Michael Kors inculde Michael Koors, Michael Khors, Michael Cors, Michael Korrs and even Micheal Kors. If you look quickly you may not even notice the mispelling. Another thing to be aware of is the actual construction of the bag. Michael Kors makes his bags very well and should be free of defects. Be sure to inspect any bag very closely before you purchase it. Be sure to spend your hard earned money at a reputable Michael Kors distributor.
